Mülheim and its surrounding area offer a wealth of interesting destinations for excursions and leisure activities.
Mülheim alone is home to nearly 250 km of walking trails for those interested in exploring nature, while those in search of public green spaces are more than well served with both Saarn monastery’s gardens, Broich Castle gardens and Styrum Castle. The hotel is furthermore located within walking distance of yet another of Mülheim’s many noteworthy parks – the MüGa-Pak - the former grounds of the National Garden Show.

Mülheim also forms part of the Ruhr Valley Cycle Route, which goes right through it’s city centre, and passes Hotel KOCKS only 100 metres away. This cycle route is 220 km long and follows the river Ruhr from its source to right up to where it joins the river Rhine.
The River Station on the Ruhr, the green and white fleet, and the Viking boat MüWi furthermore all offer river tours, which make for a beautifully tranquil afternoon outing.
Raffelberg horse race track and Mülheim’s two golf courses offer yet more possibilities for both becoming active and spectating in other outdoor sports. |
